Getzoe.com Month 81 October/November 05

This month I attended my first Boo Carnival--which is a big
Halloween carnival put on at my good friend Sydney's school.
Here I am with Syd--she looked like a purple-haired witch.
We don't like to pose with normal faces for very long. Here
we are making "funny faces" for Dad. Hey, isn't it strange
how something usually ends up in Syd's nose for these shots?
Here we are cruising down a slide together. It was a little scary
for me but with Sydney beside me on the slide, I almost went
all the way down without screaming my head off.
They do a really good job at the Boo Carnival--they have rides,
haunted houses, snack stands and lots of games. Here I am
trying to win a big stuffed animal by playing shuffleboard.
Here's a close-up of Sydney's face painting and the noticeable
gap in her front teeth. Syd has already lost 3 or 4 teeth and
I'm still waiting for my first. C'mon teeth--I need money!!
That's me and Syd in the 2nd row. OK, this time I definitely
was screaming my head off. Wow, look at Syd--I hope she
didn't swallow any bugs while she was screaming on the ride.
I haven't quite figured out the whole swing thing (dad thinks I'm
just a "lazy bones jones"), so I still need to have someone push
me on the swing. Hey, I say why work when you don't have to?
Here I am being a poser in front the park by
my elementary school. Sssssssshhhhhhhhhh,
you might wake up some squirrels.
That's my little brother Bigsy next to me. He loves swings too
but he gets a little scared if he starts flying too high. We both
laugh like crazy the whole time--fun for the entire family.
While we enjoyed the playground, Dad hit the trail around the
park and ran a couple of miles. The old man is fighting off his
40's like there's no tomorrow--he might wanna pick it up.
As we got a little closer to Halloween, Bigsy and I got to carve
our own pumpkins. Mine had a really funny face. Bigsy's had
two tiny little circle eyes and a tiny circle mouth. Clever.
More park time!! That's me cruising our neighborhood park
on Bigsy's "Harley Scooter". It's pretty cool and makes all
sorts of motorcycle-like noises. I'll probably get a tattoo too.
And here's the star of the show--Edward "Don't Call Me
Thomas" The Train. He looked pretty cute in that little train
but that hat was a little goofy. My brother, the schmoe.
On the morning of Halloween, I had the day
off and was able to attend Bigsy's very first
Halloween at Montessori. Here I am waiting.
Halloween night and out comes the pumpkin
and spider webs. Our neighbor Matt also does
it up with scary sound effects and music.
Time to head out for some quality Halloween
action. This year, I decided to be Wonder
Woman--luckily it was about 70 degrees out.
On the weekend after Halloween, my school had its first-ever
"Western Night". We got to dress up like cowgirls and run
around eating popcorn, dancing and hula hooping.
That's my classmate, April. She's really nice and she and I
had the same pink cowboy boots. We had a good time watching
the older kids do their western dance routines for the crowd.
And here's my little
cowpoke enjoying his
favorite snack--popcorn.
Thanks for stopping by and
I'll see you next month.
