Well, the summer is finally over,
which means it's time to start hitting
Disneyland in earnest now that our
So-Cal passes kick in again. I'm
really starting to get into a few of
the different rides--but I'm always
up for an oldie-but-goodie, like the
carousel. Enjoy this month's pics.

One of my new favorite rides is the "Auto Spa"
sponsored by the fine folks at Chevron (they're the ones
with those funny toy cars). I like to drive really fast.

Here I am taking the wheel, ready for a battle royale with
some punk next to us from Des Moines. He probably
doesn't know how we drive in LA, so I'll smoke him.

Here's my co-passenger, the infamous "Daddy Coconut"
(and no, even I have no idea what that means). He's
getting pretty good at holding the camera far away.

In fact, he's so good that I've decided to post two of his
tricky shots this month. But we spent too much time
taking pics and lost our race with dude from corn land.

Most people go to Disneyland to
ride on the many splendid rides.
However, my main agenda is to
wait in horrendous lines for that
10 second brush with one of the
local princesses. Here I am
waiting in line for a chance to
meet Belle for about the 73rd time.

And here I am with the yellow lady herself. She even
signed my book and Beast gave me a pat on my pretty
little head. I guess he's not as bad as he looks.

And here I am spending some quality time
alone with Cinderella. She told me that I
was very pretty...and she should know.

Since we had such a great time last year, dad signed us up
for the annual school field trip to Tanaka Farms again.
This year, Sydney got to join us for the festivities.

Tanaka Farms is a great place where they grow an
absolute ton of pumpkins right there on the grounds.

They give us a tractor ride to go from the farm over to a
little petting zoo (which I avoid like the plague). But it
was a bit dusty that day, so we had to close our eyes.

Nothing gets me in a romantic mood quite like a dusty
tractor ride and a sprawling expanse of pumpkins. That's
me and Harrison keeping tabs on each other.

I think my favorite part of this trip is when we get to go
out into the crops and pick vegetables. It's like a free
salad bar, only without the macaroni salad and jello.

Then we finish things off with a frantic search for the
perfect pumpkin. Sydney is really strong, so she carried
her own. I, of course, left the dirty work to the old man.

| Zobo's Quote Of The Month Zoe has three friends that aren't exactly real (Gaga, Shoa and Nigua). She can't seem to give us any insight into how her real friends, Harrison or Sydney are doing, but ask her about Gaga (the apparent leader in the group), and you're likely to hear 10 full minutes of non-stop banter. The level of detail in her stories about Gaga is pretty amazing. And since we're having trouble photographing Gaga to share her with you, we thought we'd give you some insight into one of Zoe's best "friends" in this space. According to recent reports from Zoe, Gaga is living in Africa with some friendly monkeys who chew gum. In between tea parties, she has found time to invite Zoe on an "air trip" to the moon, where they'll be playing with stickers. Gaga's favorite food is chocolate milk and she is very close and personal friends with Darin Erstad, an outfielder with the Anaheim Angels. And as if all that weren't enough, Gaga is raising twin babies, both named Sparky, who recently threw up 10 times in one night. |
