GetZoe.com  Month 55
August/September 2003
It's been two full years since Lu-Dog
graced our little home but I still consider
her part of the family--so she's this
month's headliner.  Lucie is doing quite
well in her new home, where she is being
given tons of love and attention.  This
picture was taken of her this month.
Wow, she has a gray beard.  I'm hoping
we'll get to see her very soon.
Bigs is starting to walk quite a bit these days, so we've
been spending a lot of time at the park where he can
spread his wings.  Here I am waiting for dinner.
I've always been very into makeup but I've never wanted
anyone to do anything to my hair.  Fortunately, mom
explained that "hair is makeup" and that's all changed.
"Come on Bigs, come up into the fire station--we have a
fire to put out.  No Bigs, don't eat that.  Hey mom, Bigs is
eating a rolly polly again!!"  Kids these days.
Bigs and I have a great time at the park.  He's a lot more
adventurous than I was, so he seems a lot older than he
really is.  Our favorite game is hide and seek.
And now a series a worthless facial expression shots.
I interpreted "look goofy" to mean I should pick my nose.
This one is "look at the pretty princess".
And this one's "look pathetic or giggle".
This one is "riding on a rollercoaster".
And here we have "no more cookies".
"Seriously guys, you realize that I'm a helpless infant alone in a tub full of water, right?"
Here we are enjoying a lovely family dinner.  After about
an hour, dad finally figured out how to make the timer on
the camera work--nice work, fool.
After dinner, I treated the family to some of my best
cheerleading moves. They get me started with a hearty
"Ladies and Jogerman..Boys and Girls...Zoe Jacobin"
There's a whole lot of "Hey Ho, Let's Go" and then
usually some sort of "Go Lakers" mixed in with a
startling variety of uncoordinated jumps and spins.
The grand finale is usually a rapid fire series of claps
followed by some sort of modified splits routine.  And I
always hold my position until the applause kicks in.
Shhhhh....we're sleeping...see ya next month.  -Zoe
                                   Zobo's Quote of the Month
Now that we've established in Zoe's head that "hair is makeup", she's started using it against
us.  One day, she asked me if I use makeup and I said "No, because I'm a boy".  But she
decided to dig a little further..."Daddy, do you comb your hair"?  Which I of course responded
by saying, "Yes, Zoe".  Which then of course led to a taunting "But Daddy, you know hair is
makeup--so you do use makeup".
