Oh the weather outside is frightful...wait a
minute...it's 85 degrees out. Must be
Christmas in LA. Bring on the fat man in the
funny suit and let's get this party started.
The holiday stretch drive began with the annual
McVu Christmas Bash. Here I am opening gifts.
Hayley, Cade and me busting into our lolly-pops.
Unfortunately, mine didn't stay in my tummy for long.
Daddy's friends Donny & Dione gave us these tix to
see the Ducks. I love going to see "the hockeys".
Like any good sporting event, there's an ample
supply of peanuts available. That's me hard at work.
Part of our Christmas Eve was spent making a mad
dash to see Santa. But I chickened out this year.
That night, we baked some tasty cookies for Santa.
Here I am writing one last note about my toy needs.
Finally, it was Christmas morning. I must have
overslept, so I missed Santa's visit but he
definitely was in the house. The carrots were
gone and he'd dusted almost all the cookies. And
the fireplace glass was opened. He even wrote
me a note to thank me for the cookies and for
being such a good girl all year.
More importantly, he obviously received my first
letter because sitting under the tree were both
Rapunzel Barbie and Price Stefan, as well as a toy
kitchen only a highly sophisticated fictional
patriarch could appreciate. That Santa is one cool
dude.
Here I am having "Punzel" and "Da Prince" enjoy
their first dance together. I love you Santa!!
Here's "my families" opening gifts. Ryan had a fun
time watching me get excited with every new gift.
Here's my new kitchen. It cooks spaghetti, mac 'n
cheese, popcorn and hot dogs. And coffee too.
The drama of each gift is captured pretty well in
this shot. Even "little black kitty"had a good time.
I had a lot of presents to open this year. I even
received a cool set of towels for after ballet class.
The weekend after Christmas, we took Ryan down
to see his very first Chargers game. On the left are
all of us kicking back in the Chargers Lounge. And
above, that's all of us in our seats. It was pretty
cold that day, so we had to leave a little early.
I was off the week of New Years, so the
fun wasn't over. Here I am at Jerry's.
Dad and I went there to have a bite
before our annual Disney On Ice show.
Before the show began, I had to get properly
geared up with a big helping of cotton candy
(daddy note: BIG mistake). Above is a nice shot of
Woody and Jesse--the main characters for Toy
Story 2. We had good seats, so the skaters could
hear me cheering.
On New Year's Eve, my good buddy
Harrison threw a party for us kids.
We ate spaghetti and popsicles and
ran around the house like wild
animals.
In order to get us rats to settle down,
Harrison's mom tried to divert our
attention toward an arts and crafts
project. Surprisingly enough, it
actually worked for a little while.
Here I am painting Sponge Bob
Squarepants, my new favorite
drawing subject with my pal, Sydney.
Here we are enjoying our popsicles. Syd and I
chose blue, while Harrison went for fire truck red.
Finally, we settled down for a little "Clifford, The
Big Red Dog". Look how snappy Harrison looks.
Finally, the end of my holiday vacation was
near--but not before one last shindig with Dad.
We started out our day with one of our "tea
parties" at Starbucks. This is the one by our
house.
Then it was off to a new park by our old house
for a photoshoot extraordinaire. It's been a
while since we had a real shoot, so Dad went
crazy with over a 100 shots of me doing all sorts
of fun activities. Enjoy the pics of me in action.
Wow, what an action-packed
month. But there's more fun to
right around the corner, so come
back soon. Have a great 2003.

Zobo's Quote Of The Month Sometimes, instead of reading stories at night, Zoe and I have a "connervation". I start out asking Zoe a question and then it goes back and forth. One night, Zoe asked me who my best friends are and one of the guys I mentioned was "Dean", a friend of mine in Denver. But since we don't see Dean very often, I wasn't sure if Zoe remembered him--even though he has one very distinguishing characteristic (very long hair). I asked Zoe if she remembered Dean and she thought about for a bit and said "Yes". Unconvinced, I asked her what Dean looked like. After about 5 seconds she finally responded..."ummm...a girl". Sorry Dean.
