Getzoe.com Month 46
November/December 2002
The holidays are kicking in and that means it's time for some action.
Now that I'm nearing the homestretch toward being a
big, bad four-year-old, I'm creating all sorts of
mayhem around the house.  On the left, you'll find
one "Daddy Jacobin" holding up what was once a
lovely baby blue Cinderella Nightgown.  As you can
see, it's now a multicolored mess as a result of several
crayons that somehow made their way into my load of
laundry.  Luckily it was just my stuff, so it will all be
obsolete in a couple of months anyway.   But until
then, I'll have a sort of quasi-hippie thing going with
my wardrobe.

I also wanted to post this photo to remember the fine
looking specimen that is my Daddy. Hopefully, with
any luck, I'll meet a guy just half as studly and nice as
my old man.  What a guy.

OK, back to reality...
We kicked off my illustrious 46th month with a lovely tea
party for new big sisters. Here's my neighbor and
schoolmate, Bella (who became a big sister the next day).
And here's Else, who did a lovely job with her lipstick.
Else is also my friend at school, as we've been there
together since we were tiny rats competing for cheese.
My good pal, Hayley, who counted as a "big sister"
because of her burly brother, Yukon, seems at ease as she
dines on an elegant spread of grapes and chocolate cake.
And of course, the delightful, Sydney--also a master with
the lipstick.  In the background, you can see the cool
little tea-pots and cups that Mom got for all the girls.
This is one of Dad's classic "can't get the lighting right"
shots of us riding the tram to D-Land.  That's "Big Boy"
down at the bottom en route to his first Disney appearance.
Later that month, we attended a birthday party for my
neighbor, Gunner.  Birthday parties are my top form of
social networking--luckily, many are at Chuckie Cheese's.
Finally, we're getting near Santa time.  Here I am with my
classmates getting ready for our annual Holiday Pageant.
That's Miss Sarah in red and Mom cracking up in back.
And here's what the room looked like from our view--a
parental paparazzi, the likes of which only a pre-schooler
can appreciate.  It's like my photo-crazed Dad times 50.
This is my latest good friend, Camila.  Half the class got
sick that day, so I got to move over next to her for the
show.  She and I were definitely the best singers.
After the show, I celebrated by eating a chocolate chip
cookie and giving "Big Boy" a nice holiday hug.  He
wasn't sure what to make of the show but had fun anyway.
Later that week, it was on to "Twinkle Towne", a sort of
overdone, holiday carnie festival near my house.  Here I
am working the lead cabin of the north pole train.
Then Dad and I busted out on the ferris wheel--my first
one ever.  Dad was a little nervous that I might get scared
but there were no large dogs on board, so I was fine.
Soon, we received our first package in the mail and thus
commenced my favorite holiday tradition--laying in a pile
of foam peanuts and making a mess in the house.  Yipee!
Since I'm a big girl now, Dad let me help decorate the
tree.  I specialize in working the lower branches and he
works the top.  My favorite ornament is Snow White.
That's it for this
month, but come back
soon for the fantastic
holiday spread,
featuring me and
(hopefully) Rapunzle
"Punzle" Barbie and a
new play kitchen.

See you soon.

                                     Zobo's Quote Of The Month
Suddenly, Zoe has developed a keen sense for "bad words", which include such pre-school
classics as "crap" and "shut up".  Apparently, the times have changed and even "shoot" is now
firmly entrenched on Zoe's list of bad words.  Needless to say, Dad gets busted about a dozen
times a day with either  very disapproving "Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa  Deeeeeeeeeeeeeee?" or the
sternly reprimanding "Daddy, you can't say that."
