GetZoe.com Month 43
August/September 2002
This month, I've chosen a lovely camouflage
motif to symbolize the battle that my favorite
team--the Anaheim Angels--is in to make the
2002 playoffs.  Go Halos!!
Every Angels game that I go to follows a similar
pattern--first we go near the dugout so that I can
see Erstad up close.  Then we eat tasty hot dogs.
Then I yell "peanuts" to the hawker, who tosses
me a bag.  And if I've been good, I might get a
churro, sing at the stretch and then take off.
But before we leave, I insist on doing my traditional "Autry
Dance".  I start by shaking hands with a bronzed statue of
Gene Autry and then sing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame"
while I run around him in circles.  This goes on for about 15
solid minutes and inevitably ends with dad dragging me away
in tears.  But he lets me perform this little routine every time
we go to a game.  What a guy.

Just for the record, here's my version of "Take Me Out To The
Ballgame", which I've been able to sing by myself since right
before I turned three.  Feel free to sing along.

"Take me out in a ballgame.  Take me out in a crowd.  Buy me
the peanuts...cracker jack.  I no care if I never go back.  So I
root, root, root in a home team.  If they no win it's a shame.  I
say one, two, three strike an out.  In the old ballgame!!!"
My best bud, Sydney just got a big surprise just like
me.  She has a new baby sister and her name is
Camryn.  We had Syd the night Camryn was born.
Syd and I are inseparable at school.  The teachers
can't believe what great pals we are, considering
that we're only three.  "Syd, you can let go now."
After we went crazy at the park, we took a break to
have chicken tacos.  Syd did the honors by
feeding me rice and beans.  I just love Wahoo's.
We hit every inch of the park. Here
we are riding a duck and a horsey in
an effort to put out some sort of fire.
Yes, this is in fact the extent of my
huge back yard.  Out here in So-Cal,
we call this the "back forty (feet)".
It's been hot this summer, so we decided to bust
out the pool that mom bought a couple of years
ago.  Three hours later, dad had it ready to go.
I guess that's just
about a wrap on
another great summer
of fun in Zoe-land.
Even though it's been
kind of crazy with the
move and Ry's arrival, I
have to say it has been
a blast.  But with cooler
weather (OK, 70's) right
around the corner, that
means the holidays
can't be far behind.
Bring it on.

See you next month.

                                                              Zobo's Quote Of The Month
After putting Zoe to bed one night, she looked at her daddy and said, "You're my heart...you're my
love...you're my stooper star."  I feel exactly the same way, pretty girl.
