GetZoe.com Month Forty One June/July 2002
|
Well, it's my last full month before
the junior rat makes his appearance,
so I've decided to live it up. Here I
am kicking off June with a Friday
night taco party with my best pals,
Harrison and Sydney (who both have
junior rats on the way too). This was
the part where the food finally hit our
stomachs and we decided to bust into
a little spontaneous entertaining.
That Sydney really has the moves.
Here I am at my Grandpa Thai's memorial acting
like a crazed monkey with my cousin Vianne. We
used to not get along very well, but now we're pretty
good pals. She really cracks me up.
This year for the 4th of July, we decided to lay low and watch the show from
our new neighborhood. We played in the park for a while and then watched
a couple of different shows from the top of the hill behind our house.
Some of Dad's old friends (Kate & Dave) were in town, so we had lunch. Their two kids (Ryan & Abbey) were pretty funny--but I was a total grump that day (clue: not hamming for camera). Oh well.

We close out this month's photo exhibit
with "the play that wasn't". Here's my
class performing at the annual graduation
ceremony. You'll notice Harrison in the
red shirt in the front row. What you
won't notice is me. I was sitting next to
dad when he snapped this photo because
I chickened out a bit at the last minute.
But I'll be there next year for sure..well,
maybe. See you next month for the
beginning of the Zobo-Robo era. -zoe
Zobo's Quote of the Month Upon arriving home from school, Zoe (dressed as the Little Mermaid, of course) requested that "Prince Eric" come get her out of her car seat. When dad..I mean the Prince arrived, Zoe launched into a high-pitched solo--just like her idol, Ariel. As the Prince approached to release the smitten Mermaid, Anhdai made the mistake of opening one of the other car doors to get her briefcase. Zoe stopped singing, and annoyed, exclaimed "Go away, Flounder!"
