Getzoe.com Month 35
December 2001/January 2002
Hi everyone.  In case you haven't
figured it out, that bulbous little
creature to the left is my soon-to-be
slave in waiting.  The doctors say that
we'll know if he/she is a boy or girl at
the end of February and then the little
gal/fella will be mine for good sometime
around August 2nd.  I can't wait.
OK, now back to the Zobo Chronicles, chapter 35.  Aaah yes, Christmas 2001...
Our annual gift exchange was held at Trish & Milo's again this year.  On the left, you'll see me feeding my
new baby--the first and last gift I cared to open this year.  And on the right, a standard pose with Hayley.
Here's my first getzoe.com pic of Josh Kahr--who is
clearly the product of some sort of new age paternal
cloning experiment for which Sean volunteered.
Here I am entertaining mom's family at Uncle Phan
Phan's annual Christmas bash and egg roll
eat-a-thon. I ran around like a crazed animal.
Hey, it's the same Santa that I met in 1999--how
cool is that?  Only for some reason, he has since
had his chair re-done in a purple motif (very
Christmasy, pal) and is now sporting a tech vest
that he picked up at The North Pole Gap.
Santa asked me what I wanted for
Christmas this year--and for the first
time ever, I told him.  I made it really
simple for the old guy, and told him
that I wanted "Santa, Snow White &
some cookies".  He laughed and told
me that he wanted me under his
tree--so mom & dad did their best to
get me ready for his arrival.
The week before Christmas was jam-packed with all
sorts of random acts of hijinx.  Here I am swimming
around in some packing popcorn (Dad not amused).
And here I am practicing my award-winning "What
do you mean Santa missed my house?" look with
my very own hot pink Lee Press-On Nails.
"You stick with me, freaky Potato Head boy.  I
know it's hard to believe but I'm pretty sure Santa's
going to bring you a Potato Torso for Christmas."
Dad couldn't resist getting me a Zobo-sized tree this
year, despite the obvious fire hazard and potential
for ornament ingestion.  Thanks, Pops!!
Then, finally, it was Christmas morning.  Here
I am logging in a few final snores before the
big fella showed up in my living room.  That's
right, Santa came to my house and I even got
to see him.  He gave me some Snow White
gifts and a special necklace.  He promised me
that if I wear the necklace on Christmas Eve,
he'll come bring me presents on Christmas
Day.  I told him that I loved him and gave him
a nice kiss before he squeezed his sizeable red
belly into our chimney.

Thank you for coming to my house Santa!!
My very favorite gift from Santa was a Snow White
Makeup Table.  Once I opened this gift I pretty
much focused on making myself pretty all day.
Poor Snow White was stuck in a box for at least a
couple of days, so obviously her hair was a mess.
Luckily, I had a little mini brush to fix her up.
My other favorite gift was a little white kitty, who I
named "Little Killy".  She has proven to be quite a
good snuggler and a great friend for "Killy Cat".
On the day after Christmas, Mommy had to go back to work.  So Daddy and I went to catch the latest
installment of "Disney on Ice" in 2nd row seats.  My favorite part was with the giant skating elephants.
Then later that week, it was off to Phoenix to catch
the Buffs in the Fiesta Bowl.  Here I am unwinding
at a rest stop (I never have time to read anymore).
Once we arrived, I embarked on never-ending string
of Colorado-related events.  Here I am looking quite
fetching at the Gary Barnett Fiesta Bowl breakfast.
And here I am enjoying the New Year's Eve Fiesta Bowl
party in downtown Tempe, complete with Mardis Gras
beads and a face painting.  Dad suggested I don the Buffs
logo but I opted for the much more colorful, Barney.
On the day of the big game, Mom and I joined
Daddy and Uncle "Dinkle" for the pre-game
festivities.  GM had some of their new cars there.
So, it seemed like a perfect opportunity to learn how
to drive.  "Look out people, the Zobo-mobile is
coming through and I'm not stopping for anyone".
Well, that's all for chapter 35.  But come
back next month--I'll be capping off
another great year on this little blue planet
and you won't want to miss any of the
action.  Happy New Year everyone!

Cheers-
Zoe Jacobin
