Getzoe.com  Month 67
August/September 2004
Summer is finally starting to wind down,
which means one thing--dad will soon be
hanging around the house and yelling a lot
(football).  Ugh.  So Bigs and I figure that
we better get our action in now, while we
can.

Here we are with balloons while we wait
for the old man's car to get washed.  Sure,
it's not the most exciting thing we could
come up with, but it's action nonetheless.
OK, this is much better.  Here we are visiting Del
Mar for some horse races (OK, so we're strange kids
who actually like sitting around in sweltering heat).
The highlight of the day took place when we found
this great jungle gym by the horse paddock. When
there weren't any horses around, Bigs & I went wild.
Now we're talking--time to dress up like a princess and
hit Disneyland.  On the left, we're firing up some
jumbo rainbow lollipops.  And on the
right...ATTITUDE!!!
After having to hear all about
my friends at school playing
soccer and t-ball, I finally got
my chance to shine this
month, when I officially
became a soccer-playing "Sea
Turtle" (my suggestion, no
less).  Here I am meeting the
coach at our first meeting in
our neighborhood park.
The next weekend, it was game time.  That's Taylor,
me, Audrey and Amelia getting some critical
instruction from Coach Dale before the game.
Dad hooked me up with this Gatorade
bottle, just like the pros use.  It was
really hot that day, so I drank a lot.
And let the action begin!!  Although it was really hot
that day, we put up a good fight.  We're a bit younger
than the other teams, but we still had a lot of fun.
Sure, I'd like to just show shots of my sprinting,
diving, etc.  But this is a little closer to the truth--
incredible action on the field/me paying no attention.
My school buddy Mathew had his 6th birthday at a gym by my house this
month.  Here I am having fun with the circus mirrors that they had there.
They had this really cool slide there
that even daddy liked to ride.  That's
me about to take off from the top.
Here I am being goofy with my good
friend Taylor, from my school.  She's
always making me laugh.
And to cap things off on an exciting month, a
birthday party for my friend Nick Oakes.
Shockingly, I'm within arms distance of the cake.
We played lots of cool old-school games that day
like Musical Chairs.  Well, thanks for coming by this
month--see ya again, real soon.  -Zobo
                    Zobo's Quote of the Month
This month, Zoe decided that she was bored with her name and wanted us to call
her Chloe.  So we did.  Then she insisted that Dad became Jack, while Mom should
be Cynthia.  Fine.  But then came Ryan.  Should have gone with Billy, Joe or Tom.
But she wanted something special.  Enter Kanichiwa Boy.  Nuff said.
