HeyRyan.com Month 67 February 2008
|
February marked the
beginning of my baseball
career. That's right folks, I'm
living every kids dream...to be
a Marlin (although I keep
thinking I'm a "Swordfish"). I
had my first T-Ball practice
and it was awesome. Come
back next month to check my
stellar uniform and first game.
Coach Will gave us some great pointers to start things off.
Then to get us properly warmed up we chased after him.
I was so fired up, I cheered every throw and catch I made.
I was on one end with a bucket of balls and Dad caught them.
Here I am demonstrating my professional-style windup.
After a hard day on the diamond, even us little guys need Gato.
Next week, my game got rained out, so we went to the beach.
After breakfast at The Beachcomber, we played in the sand.
Dad hooked me up with this sweet T-Ball bucket for hitting.
That weekend, we still managed to practice.
For a little guy, Dad says I have great form.
Hey look, Zoe's has a whiffle ball for a head!!
One day I had a field trip with Dad--we hit iHop beforehand.
Dad had to also watch a kid who ate 687 Ritz Crackers that day.
Here's me, Ritz Boy, and some other friends from school.
We saw huge gray whales and these seals.
In between Ritz Boy feedings, Dad and I had a nice time together.
A goodbye funny face from The
Beachcomber in Crystal Cove.
See you next month.

Bigsy's Quote of the Month
Now that Bigsy's webmaster is finally out of the 90 hour work week weeds, we might actually get a
few quotes around here. Allow me to start with one of my recent faves. One night, as Bigs often
does, he strolled into our bedroom to sleep on a mattress on the floor. He slept through the night
without a peep but woke up shortly after what must have been one of his patented "train dreams".
He sat up, pumped his arms like he was pulling a train whistle, and let out a big, "Whoooooooooo",
which was then followed by a hearty, "Next stop, funky town!" Not a bad way to start the day.
