After picking up Zoe after a sleepover, Dad took us out for
some bagels. I'm still not really into bagels but the old man
got me one that has chocolate chips, so it's not tooooo bad.
After breakfast, we ventured on to our favorite
park--the one we call "baseball park". Here I
am valiantly attempting to get on a swing.
It's pumpking-carving season, so Zoe and I wanted to get a
jump on our pumpkins. Here we are in seed mode with Mom.
One night during the Angels-White Sox ALCS, the Kahrs had
us over for a party. That's Josh and me being super heroes.
One Saturday in the middle of the month, we all went to the
Boo Carnival, a special event that Sydney's school puts on.
Here I am getting a special pumpkin face painting stamp.
We met Syd there and checked out the carnival together.
They had their faces painted too--Zoe with a bunch of stars
and Syd with a really cool looking moon. We had a lot of fun...
That is until the folks put me on this god-forsaken roller
coaster. It was supposed to be a little roller coaster for kids
but it pretty much seemed like a death ride to me. Not pretty.
OK, now this is more my style. I nice simple game of
shuffleboard. And if I get the disk to land in the right spot I
get to win a stuffed animal or some candy. Now we're talking.
Another day, another park. Life is good. Here I am laughing
like a school girl at the park by Zoe's school. Weeeeeeeeeee!
I'm getting to be pretty agile at the park. I might by tiny but
I'm wiry. And I like to think I have a darn good set of wheels.
A week before Halloween, I got to go on my very first field
trip. And like Zoe before me, I cut my teeth on a trip to the
Pumpkin Patch. Here I am with my very best friend, Daniel.
We have become the best of friends at school and are usually
not found very far apart when it's time to go out on the
playground and be silly. Dad thinks he's a nice boy like me.
Dad took me up to the farm part of the patch
and we got to pick our very own vegetables.
Here I am working some onion magic.
Just in case you can't tell from this picture, the
whole vegetable thing just kind of freaks me
out. I don't like eating them or picking them.
Once we got off the tractor, it was time to visit the petting zoo.
I was pretty good with the animals and I even pet a few of the
nicer-looking goats. But I wouldn't go near the pig--stinky.
This is my goat friend, Sparky...well, at least that's what Dad
called him. He was the perfect petting zoo friend, he just sat
there motionless, waiting for me to scratch his furry head.
And it's show time. Here I am heading up the parade with my
teacher. That's my buddy Daniel behind me.
Finally, it was Halloween day and time for my
first ever Montessori Halloween Parade. Here
are Mom and Zoe awaiting my big arrival.
I was dressed at Edward the train and I was quick to correct
anyone who suggested I was Thomas. Mom and Dad start
laughing hysterically whenever I put on the engineer's hat.
It was a little hot that day, but I had a great
time being part of the parade. I can't wait for
tonight to get all that FREEEEEE CANDYYYY!
With the sun finally setting, it was time to put out all of our
scary pumpkins. This was Dad's masterpiece this year--a
very scary castle. It took the fool about 3 hours to complete.
Daniel, Zoe, Mom and I say
"So Long" from my school
after our parade. Come back
next month for lots of cool
pics from Denver and Vail.
Yipee!!

And with our first trick-or-treaters showing up at the front
door, that was our cue to hit the streets. Here I am in all my
Edward glory and that's Zoe dressed as Wonder Woman.
