HeyRyan.com Month 16
November 2003
This month, I finally figured out
how to get the old man's attention.
All I had to do was march straight
over to him with a pigskin in my
hands and yell "Boodbah" at the
top of my lungs.  It did the
trick--and so the saga of a boy and
his dad and the sport they both
love has officially begun...
Since I'm still a little too young to make more than a
token visit to a football game (see Month 5), dad took me
to a Duck hockey game with tix that he won at work.
Dad rigged...I mean won a raffle for 10 Ducks tickets, so
we got to go with the Rothbergs and the Tooles.  First we
had dinner at Islands and then we hit the game.
I slept through most of our Thanksgiving dinner but woke
up just in time to come downstairs to enjoy some quality
turkey and stuffing action.  It was delicious.
I got to make my first trip back to Denver to visit the
family over Thanksgiving.  Here I am dancing my little
booty off with Tash and Zoe in the hotel room.
After dinner, we
took this lovely
family photo in
the lobby.  I was
more interested
in reading the
little fliers they
have on display.
Here I am with Zoe,
playing with the snow
on our balcony.  We
had a great condo
that had a view of a
ski run.  And I loved
playing in the snow.
After dad hit the CU-Nebraska game, we all took off for
Winter Park for the rest of the weekend.  Here I am
walking around on snow for the very first time.  Chilly!!
Dad got me this lovely Russian hunting cap
(since I do so much hunting in there). Then
he and Zoe called me "Sergie" all weekend.
Seriously, how cool am I?  Up on skis at 16
months?  Are you kidding me?  Where do
I sign up for the junior Olympics?
OK, so maybe I'll need a little help when
the time trials begins. After watchin Zobo
on skis I just had to try them out myself.
Here I am at breakfast on our last day of the trip.   Mom and I are great friends...she makes me milk, you know.
And with this lovely "public nudity" shot at
the airport, that about wraps it up for my
exciting 16th month.  I believe the
cookie-eating north-pole-dwellar is visiting
next month, so don't miss out.  Take care.
-Bigs
I really didn't know what to think about those gigantic
horses.  I pretty much looked panicked like this for about
half an hour--then I conked out and took a big nap.
Later that day, we got to go on a very cool sleigh ride
through the mountains.  Zoe even got to hold the reigns
for a bit, while I stayed warm by snuggling with mom.
