Day 10
Day 11
Day 1
Day 2
Craig looks dejected at the prospect of $500 in "I'm an idiot" fees.
The little man is psyched to learn that dim sum includes hot dogs.
You could say there are a few flowers and plants near the condo.
My Buddhist, Jewish, Catholic mom decorated.
Bigs corrects his ill-fated 07 trip early and actually touches the water.
Zoe gets some of the saltwater off of her in The Ekahi pool.
Lappert's has great ice cream but Zoe's wishes she had more.
Some surfers in the big waves near Paia on the north side of Maui.
Nothing says Hawaii like a couple of gnarly-looking tiki statues.
Zoe outside of Mama's Fish House--a classic Hawaiian restaurant.
Bigs just loves his mom so much--he'll do about anything to get close.
Looking quite delightful outside of Mama's Fish House in Paia.
Day 3
Bigsy's getting to be quite the ham lately.
Our whale trip got cancelled, so we hit the Maui aquarium instead.
Anhdai & Zoe laughing back at Bigs as he tries to get them in frame.
Two cool dudes wait for their food to arrive (duh...chicken nuggets).
Lunch at the aquarium with two awesome little kids.
A sea turtle swims over to see what all the action is about.
Craig hits the c-store for some caffeine to start the day off right.
This is what happens when you let Bigs do the shooting himself.
Our last full day was highlighted by a snorkel trip to Molokini.
Both Zoe and Bigs actually did some snorkeling that day.
Zoe looking very cute in her snorkel gear with Molokini behind her.
Craig is ready to go find the octopus that somebody saw in the water.
OK, this was the view on Day 5 but it seems a fitting way to end.
Day 4
A very very very small gecko climbs up over Zoe's shoe.
We headed south to "Big Beach" where we saw some huge waves.
With The waves a bit big, Zoe plays in the sand.
Dinner at Matteo's--a great little Pizza joint just a mile from the condo.
At one point, the whales got extremely close to our boat.
Day 5
We spent about 2 hours watching non-stop whale action.
About half the crowd on the boat was sick from the action (poor Bigsy).
Here's a baby humpback trying to do tricks.
The majestic humpback whale put on quite a show this trip.
Like I was saying...that got extremely close to our boat. Yipes!!
Day 6
Bigs sends Cookie and Al a message from Cheeseburger in Paradise.
The Bougainvillea is all over the place near the condo.
Breakfast at The Grand Wailea--one of the coolest resorts anywhere.
Overlooking one of the dozens of pools.
Zoe makes a mermaid wish. "Please let me come back here soon".
The original builder put these fat Japanese lady statues everywhere.
Zoe practices her power swimming in the pool.
Zoe looks for whales from the path along Wailea Beach.
Every afternoon at the pool, this nut would play the accordion.
Watching The Marriott Luau from the cheap seats (The beach).
Day 7
Longhi's at The Shops in Wailea is always a treat--the best shrimp.
Craig could probably eat Shrimp Longhi every day of the trip.
Zoe didn't last on the super bungee very long--but putt-putt was fun.
Day 8
A shload of bananas near the condo.
Bigs dives to looking for another diamond earing (nice work, Flip).
Bigs is getting to be quite the swim stud as long as he has goggles.
For some reason, Zoe likes to fold her hair back like this.
What would you do on the beach in paradise? Play DS of course.
Here's a good shot of the main pool at the condo--not a bad spot.
Bigs ponders life with some palms swaying in the background.
A bit down Wailea Beach with a view of Molokini in the foreground.
Bigsy looks for cool artifacts on the beach.
Day 9
This rocky trail led to a high point where you couldn't hear any noise.
Craig, Bigs and Zoe on top of the Haleakala Volcano.
This was one very cool drive up with some incredible views below.
The volcano's opening is larger than Manhattan.
Zoe got to go up on stage to learn how to hula from the pros.
This very un-Hawaiian babe kicked things off.
This dude was the highlight of the show with his fire twirling.
Zoe looking quite cute before the festivities begin.
Anhdai sipping a mai tai at the Drums of the Pacific in Kaanapali.
And this shark-tooth clad dude dug up the pig cooking in the earth.
We headed to the West Side to check out Napili Bay and Kapalua.
Here we are at the Ritz-Kapalua overlooking the pools and ocean.
"Greenie" bids us farewell right before we pack up the car to leave.
The whole family--Craig, Anhdai, Zoe,
Bigs and Bigsy's DS. Aloha everyone!!
