I've got good news and bad news. The good news is that I starred in several cool
photos--selecting the Thanksgiving bird, picking out the Christmas Tree and some other
classics--but Dad lost the film (I'm telling you, the man is a fool). So we're going to save
our big photo session for the 11th Month and keep this one simple. I call this month's
spread, "Dealing With Santa".

I got my first taste of this Santa character when I tried on
the jolly dude's goofy hat. It was a little big for me and it
felt too fuzzy, so this shoot didn't last real long.

I met my first Santa--he lives
inside a Nordstrom at Mission
Viejo Mall. He had a lovely
chair and seemed friendly
enough but as we chatted, it
dawned on me that he looked
like a wet rat, so once again,
this shoot didn't last long.
When he asked me what I
wanted for Christmas, I said
"To get off your lap".

Finally I met "Cool" Santa and he
made me laugh with his witty
tales of life at the North Pole
(actually it was Mom dancing
around like a rabid monkey
behind the photographer that did
it, but we'll stick with the Santa
version because it makes better
copy). I asked him if he'd be
visiting me during my Christmas
trip to Denver and he said
"probably not"...then he winked
and said "maybe". That made me
laugh too--mostly because it was
kind of an odd thing for Santa to
say. I then asked him if he was
related to Nordstrom Santa, told
him not to quit his day job and
went into Baby Gap to shop for
long underwear.
